Moon Ceremonies!

What is the difference between New Moon and Full Moon?

The New Moon energy is very powerful and it can be harnessed through ritual to manifest our intentions. Performing a ceremony is a beautiful way to connect symbolically to your Higher Self, and to set clear intentions of what you want to bring into your life.

The Full moon Ceremony, which is a Native Women's tradition that has been continued for hundreds of years. It is a celebration, a gift to women, a time of healing , sharing and praying to the creator to thank them for what they have and ask them for the guidance needed.

STEP ONE: DESIGN YOUR SACRED SPACE

Bring in any tools, power objects, and or things that make you feel good. Items that are meaningful to you and that will help you shift your awareness into a slightly altered state. This is your connection to communicate with the universe, so you want to make it special. Items to create your oasis: you can light incense and candles, bring your crystals and gemstones into your space, and make sure you have the privacy you need to concentrate. Call upon your helping spirits and guardian angels to protect you and be with you during the ceremony.

STEP TWO: CLEANSE AND PURIFY YOUR SPACE

You can smudge yourself and your space by burning dried sage and wafting the smoke around yourself and the room, with the intention in mind to cleanse and purify. Open the window or door and let the smoke and any negative energy be released outside and back into the earth to be repurposed.

STEP THREE: EXPRESS YOURSELF

NEW MOON: Write down your intentions/ what you wish to manifest into your life on a bay leaf or piece of paper. You can write down ‘New Moon Intentions’ and then write it out in a way of as if you already have it. Example: I am meeting like-minded people on a daily basis. Setting clear, specific intentions tells the universe exactly what you want to be charged into motion.
Try to focus on one or a few things each New Moon rather than listing everything you want all at once.Express gratitude to your helping spirits, ancestors, and or guardian angels for always guiding, loving, and supporting you. Be thankful for your life and all of the blessings and miracles that happen to you every single day. Always begin any spiritual practice with gratitude and watch how your life improves. Say it from your heart.
FULL MOON: Wash away all that doesn't serve you. We have so much going on day to day and it can be overwhelming on our mind and our body. Full moon allows you to wash it away hunneeyyy. Write down all the emotions you are feeling, allow yourself to do this with no judgement. CRY if you have to let those toxins out! JUST PLEASE don't judge yourself. LOVE on yourself and connect with those emotions to release it! This is the perfect time to pay attention to what is holding you and let it go.
Take a spiritual bath or shower to also add to washing away what doesn't serve you. (Video below for spiritual baths) Don't have a tub? Use your shower and grab 1 or 2 buckets to use to dump over you and enjoy taking a spiritual shower.

STEP FOUR: VISUALIZATION

Now that you wrote down your intentions it's not time to say them out loud or to your self. Th This is about putting your full body into it. mind, body, and spirit into visualizing the feelings.
Feel it, believe it, imagine it.

TRUST, BELIEVE, AND BE OPEN-MINDED

Trust that the Universe has heard your prayers and that the energy you wish to align with is coming into your life. Be open to opportunities that come your way even if you don’t feel ready. No one GREAT ever waited until they were ready to do something, they jumped in and figured it out along the way.

Remember to make this ceremony your own, feel free to improvise and do what aligns and feels right for you. There is no right or wrong way to do a New Moon Shamanic Ceremony. Let us know in the comments how you do your New Moon Ceremony and what works for you.

Our Ceremonies will be practices of the Native American tradition.

With so many of us now living in cities, it is easy for us to disconnect from the rhythms of Nature and lose contact with the riches available to us. By being in touch with the cycles of the Moon we can connect deeply with the natural world, and with our inner wisdom. Observing moon days is one way to recognize and honor the rhythms of nature so we can live in greater harmony with it. Join us by looking at the Moon, going outside and allowing her silvery light to rain on your body. We invite you to join us in being aware of the Moon, watching her phases and meditating with us as she waxes and wanes.
Please join us for Ritual, Education, Meditation and a time for each us to share what ever spirit tells us to. As women, we need to mourn the rhythms of life together. If there is something on your mind and you need someone to listen.
